As you can see, I have not made a post in a very long time. Not only that, but I’ve also managed to neglect some of my writing with many followers messaging me almost daily to continue my stories. The truth is, despite the lack of activity on here and elsewhere; I have been writing as time permits. If you wonder what has had me insanely busy over the last eight to nine months, let me tell you: A NEW JOB!
When I dove into posting my stories online, I was an out of work Support Analyst on a three-year dry spell. When the economy tanked, I lost most of my customers and by the time everything was on the upswing, the prospect of starting over was daunting and exhaustive. So, after submitting countless resumes and going on numerous interviews, I was fortunate to have a wonderful job find me. A job that, funnily enough, I never applied for. But since then, I’ve never looked back. Unfortunately, despite loving my job, it has consumed most of my time over the last seven months. Couple that with the 65-mile commute both ways, I’m plenty tired when I stumble through the door at the end of the day. In short, if you’ve wondered where I’ve been, this is the answer.
Now, as I stated, I have been writing some. I’ve updated The Marriage Curse at least twice in that time and have been heavily editing Serendipity when I’m not suffering from the long hours and sheer exhaustion. I’m happy to say that I have 80% of Serendipity: Part 1 completed. I have a new chapter for The Marriage Curse that I’m not quite happy with yet, but I’m sure that I’ll have a breakthrough at some point and get it where it needs to be. It’s a transitioning chapter, so it’s critical to the story. I guess some things can’t be rushed. This is one of them.
On the flip side, I do have some notes for a new story that I wish to develop and have managed to write four new chapters for my original novel as well.
Be patient with me. Life has certainly gotten in the way.
